Gorgeous spot for an aperitif. This part of Montpellier has such a gorgeous relaxed vibe about it. And at 5 euros a glass I am not complaining!

Nice terrace at the garden/park. Affordable croissant, nice consistency (I dont like the crumbled dry baked ones)

I love this place and had such a funny interaction with the owner who may have thought I was a typical rude American but I thought it was kind of hilarious. I really stumbled upon it just wandering around - I don't speak French, he was in the doorway reading the paper - I always greet people with a bonjour but I thought he was just some guy standing there so I didn't. He followed me in and quite curtly asked what I wanted. My reaction to these moments is to start laughing so the waiter nicely rescued me and I managed to order a cappucino and have it outside, where I watched a tv series being filmed. I am not remotely offended by the owner's curtness. Just a misunderstanding. Great little place with great coffee. I'd hang out there all the time if I lived there.

I read the reviews of people that had a bad experience. My experience was very positive. The waiter couldn't have been more pleasant to my wife and me. Also, the coffee was expertly prepared and delicious.
